365 Moments of Clarity – Day 37 2014

You Are Who You Want To Be

Today is an amazing day of building self esteem. Self esteem is so important in creating courage and bravery to go after your dreams. How many times do you look in the mirror and say “I love you?” I know that we all chose the bodies we are in for a reason. We all chose the life we are living for a reason. To have faith in that reason is all we need to move forward to a joyous and prosperous life. What will it take for you to develop your faith in yourself and your decisions?

There may be times during our experiences where this self esteem seems to fade. I think Deepak says it best:

“The feedback we receive from our environment over the years forms the image we hold of ourselves.  In this respect, self image keeps reminding us of who we were in a specific situation, not who we are.”

Who we are is our eternal truth. It is who we are in normal circumstances. It is when we have no fears or limiting beliefs. It is when we have a solid belief that our life is exactly what it is supposed to be. Deepak mentions to see how we talk to ourselves and be aware of the words we whisper in our own ear. Make those words encouraging, enlightening, uplifting and full of love and support.

There is a saying that at times we can be our own worst enemy. Well today stand and say that, “I am my own best friend.”


Day 5 of Miraculous Relationships

Mindful Moment:

“Make it your practice for today to cultivate self-awareness and self-love. No matter how much you have suffered, your soul sees you as whole. When you feel out of balance, anxious, or alone, pause for a moment and take a deep breath. In the quiet moment of a pause you can assess the gentle refuge of your heart. Take a few moments to close your eyes and sit quietly, feeling your heart as a soft, warm enclosure. Let your attention settle there and rest as long as you wish.”

My Journal Entries for Day 5

 Are there any ways in which you place your worth in external sources such as other people, possessions or achievements? Take a moment to write them down; be honest and very specific.

Due to my over-achieving nature, I probably place some of it on work accomplishments.

Innately, my esteem comes from inside. I am a confident person in who I am, what I have become and how I act in real life situations. I am human and of course, make decisions that could be less then desirable, but I always know that any decision is the right decision for growth and learning.

What are your fears, if any, of truly accepting and loving yourself? If you find you quickly answered “none”, place your hand on your heart and take a deep breath in and then exhale slowly. Then gently ask your heart this question one more time. This practice of pausing and asking your deep heart can change your perception and your life. You may discover a different answer, or you may receive the same one you started with-it is all perfection in the moment.

I truly and most completely love myself. I accept who I am; my faults, my strengths, my personality, my looks, etc… I have practiced self-love for the last 7 years and feel very comfortable with where I am at in this process of my growth.

Write down ten things that you love about yourself, no matter how seemingly small. We do not always have the chance to shine the light on ourselves. Be patient with yourself if it takes a minute to get started. Give yourself permission to enjoy this moment as you write out the truth of your magnificence. If you find yourself getting stuck, take a deep breath and keep it simple. As you begin to celebrate yourself, your relationships will open and expand.

  1. My mind. I am always learning, growing and challenging myself.
  2. How I dance. I LOVE TO DANCE! And my dance moves are awesome.
  3. My interior design skills. My home is authentic and like a sanctuary of peace and calmness.
  4. My love for my furchildren. It is a deep love that runs to the very center of my heart.
  5. How I look. I have this very unique, ethnic look and though it is not traditionally pretty, it is uniquely me and that makes me happy.
  6. How I see the world. To me the world is so amazing and beautiful and I am lucky to experience it.
  7. My belief system. I live by 7 guiding principles that allow me to perceive an abundant, loving world.
  8. My ambition. I vow to do good in this world and make it a better place for those around me.
  9. My food tastes. Yes, I am picky and I love it!
  10. My intuitive nature. My intuition guides me to all that I need to experience and I am very grateful for it.

Use this space to reflect further on your experience today.

This was a very feel-good meditation. At the end it makes you smile, smile, smile. 🙂

UPDATE ON MY SEVEN DAY PLAN: I did find a Yoga studio today and plan to visit it for the Vinyasa Flow tomorrow. Day 1, Check!
