How to Align Actions with your Truest Purpose
Today’s MoClar Moment comes from a very familiar place. I would like to discuss actions and aligning with your soul’s purpose. As you all know from Day 11, MoClar is a project born of my deepest desire to assist others in finding that moment of clarity when it all comes together in their life. I do this through a practice of deep coaching. I wish I could wave a magic wand and all of sudden a moment of clarity exists for my clients.
But in truth, my clients who come to me have years of walls they have built. Fog has settled in and their moment’s of clarity have dimmed. We work on those walls and begin brick by brick. Removing the blocks of unserving values and beliefs until we see that golden path to finding their true and unwavering life purpose. And though a moment of clarity is a sudden Aha, it takes the removal of these unseen walls to allow a MoClar moment to occur.
We develop practices utilizing meditation, affirmations, intentions and journaling, among others. Once we get to that core, we develop the personal mission statement that comes from pure love and desire. That mission statement is exactly what is needed to know how to align your actions with your soul’s deepest intention.
I have my clients read it twice a day, when they wake up and just before they shut their eye’s at night.
How do you know if you actions are aligned with your truest of purpose?
I ask my clients how they feel, not what they think. How does this action feel to you? Does it excite you or does it drain you? When saying yes to anything it is important to listen to your body. For your body is always in connection with your soul. There are times when there will be those experiences that make us feel uncomfortable, remember yesterday’s post about ego? That feeling doesn’t mean that the moment at hand is not aligned with your deepest purpose.
I often suggest to those who ask this question that they perform a little meditation to connect to their heart’s center for the truest of answers. With connection and feeling, intuitively, you will know the direction. Trust and faith are two very important principles to develop when using this technique. I work with my clients often to develop those beliefs.
Today I feel compelled to give a step by step. So here is my idea of what it takes to align actions to your soul’s purpose.
- Ask yourself, does this action excite me or drain me?
- After reading your mission statement, Can you easily see a correlation?
- Will the moment at hand, develop a much needed skill to fulfill your purpose?
- Will you be grateful you performed the action?
- Perform a heart centered meditation, see below. Confirm the answers above with you soul.

Heart Centered Meditation
This is one of my favorite meditations. I love connecting to my soul and feeling it’s undying love. Let’s start with a quiet place and a comfortable position. As always, you may use meditation music if you so desire.
Gently close your eye’s. Place your right hand over your heart and your left hand on the center of your belly. Imagine an infinity connection between your two hands.
Begin with being grateful for everything in your body. I silently say in my head… Thank you heart, lungs, stomach, all the organs I can think of. I thank my protective layer of skin, my veins and arteries. I thank my ears, nose, throat, eye’s, mouth and teeth. I thank my muscles and my cartilage. I thank every living cell in my body. Everything that makes up my physicality, I thank it with all of my being.
This process grounds me into my center. Once grounded, I now thank my soul and ask it to come forth to answer my questions.
I ask it for a sign, be it vision, symbol or word. I ask it for direction and then just listen.
When my message is heard, I bow to the existence that is so integral to my being. I thank my soul for it’s blessings.
I begin to wiggle my toes, my fingers and my head. I come out of this meditation feeling so jubilant.
